Overview

Neobyčejně.cz is a brand focused on children’s bicycles and cycling accessories with a playful, design-led approach. The aim was to create a visual identity and product graphics that would bring more joy, personality, and imagination into the world of children’s cycling, while still feeling clear, functional, and trustworthy for parents. The project covered both the brand itself and the visual language applied across products and communication materials.

Challenge

The main challenge was to design a brand that would appeal to children without becoming visually chaotic, overly childish, or disconnected from the practical reality of the products. The identity needed to balance playfulness with clarity, and adventure with safety. It also had to work across a varied product range, from bicycles and bells to baskets, gloves, bottles, and other cycling accessories, creating a recognisable and flexible visual world around the brand.

What I Did

I developed the visual identity of the brand, including logo direction, colour palette, and the core graphic language. From there, I created design concepts and illustrations for individual products, making sure each item carried a strong sense of fun and distinctiveness while remaining usable and commercially coherent.

A key part of the project was building a playful illustration style that could support both product design and marketing communication. I also used AI as a creative tool in the development of visual motifs and illustrations, helping shape a lively and characterful brand world designed to engage young riders and give the products a more memorable identity.

Result

The result was a cheerful and flexible brand system that helped position Neobyčejně.cz as more than just a retailer of children’s cycling products. The visual identity gave the brand a clearer personality and created a stronger emotional connection around its products, turning cycling accessories into part of a broader playful experience.
