CIF / JIF — Dishwasher Range Packaging

Overview

I designed the complete dishwasher packaging range for CIF, a Unilever brand sold internationally, including tablets, rinse aid, premium variants, and supporting line extensions. The project was developed through Digičáry studio and covered the full process from initial design development to final print production. Once the CIF range was completed, I adapted the same packaging system for JIF, the name used in selected international markets including Australia, New Zealand, Japan, the Middle East, and the Nordics.

Challenge

The challenge was to build a packaging system that could stay clear and consistent across multiple product variants while also meeting the technical demands of large-scale retail production. The JIF adaptation added another layer of complexity, as the designs had to remain visually coherent even when the brand name, language structure, and market-specific requirements changed.

What I Did

I designed the full CIF dishwasher range, defining the visual system, information hierarchy, and overall finish across the portfolio. This included both the core line and premium variants, with a focus on clarity, consistency, and shelf presence. I also prepared the artwork for print production, making sure the designs translated reliably across formats, substrates, and technical specifications. For JIF, I adapted each pack to market-specific language and regulatory needs while preserving the overall logic and recognisability of the range.

Result

The result was a coherent packaging system delivered across two brand names and multiple international markets. The range maintained a consistent visual structure while remaining flexible enough to accommodate local requirements, production constraints, and portfolio expansion.
